Constitution & Civil Rights Law

The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. It defines and creates the powers of federal and state government, the executive, legislative and judiciary branches and also includes Amendments such as the Bill of Rights. Civil Rights Law is Constitutional Law legislated in 1964 that prohibits discrimination based upon race, gender, religion, national origin. It ended segregation, provided equal rights to women and people of color and established fair employment practices.
