Landlord & Tenant Law
Landlord and Tenant Law governs the relationship between parties that rent real property, the owner or party with the right to possess real property (landlord) and the renter (tenant). Residential leases generally have much more stringent law than commercial leases due to the inherent differences in bargaining power. Landlord and Tenant Law includes matters covering rental agreements, security deposits, the duties and obligations (and covenants) that are owed between the parties, non-payment of rent, overstay and eviction.
