my question is this: Can a credit card company sue you and if you do not pay, can they garnish social security or pension checks?

I just recently purchased a used vehicle from a dealership (couple of days ago) and today it started to make a rubbing sound. so I called my partner and told him about it. Immediately he printed out a carfax report. Long story short the dealership failed to mention to us about the history of the car. My question is what should i do now what are my rights?
Have you tried to see if you can find a pro-bono attorney in your locality? I am sure the American Bar Association can help you find one. Just go online and check out your options. Follow this link and see what is offered on your state http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/findlegalhelp/home.cfm. In this day and age, you never know what people can dig up to hold that against you but if you feel that you are better off paying the fine then go for it. Good Luck!

I'm in need of some information. My son is 27ys old, is in the electrical apprenticeship (so he gets paid), spends money on clothes, going on vacations etc. I have asked him to please pay rent, help out with the utilities, groceries, cleaning, etc. He refuses. I've asked him to pay me back money he has borrowed. He refuses. I've asked him to move out and all he does is yell and make my life and his sisters life a living hell. What can I do to get him out of my house?

I'm in search of some answers and don't know where to turn to. My son is 27yrs old and is in the electrical union (so he gets paid). I've asked him on numerus occasions to please pay rent, help out with the utilities, groceries, cleaning etc. He refuses. He also refuses to pay back money that he has borrowed from me. So now my question is what do I have to do, to get him out of my home?
The hospital is likely simply going by the wishes of the immediate family that is present at the scene. Since a person could be ANYONE when calling by phone, it is not unreasonable for the hospital to make such an arrangement relying on the family at the scene to provide the code to family members.

If your husband wants information, perhaps he can get it from his family and not from the hospital. If he has some concern that there is some funny business going on with finances, he should engage an attorney. But, if the patient put his mom and his sister in charge of his health decisions (presumably financial power of attorney as well), than there is little that can be done to change that unless it can be shown that the POA was falsified or that it was not freely and knowingly given in some way.

I would really challenge this because no minor can enter into a legal binding contract with out parent consent-- he is a minor and a checking account is a legal binding contract if he goes and racks up 1500$ in fees he can not be held liable, I would talk to the branch manager or even the collection manager or a VP and I would get a copy of the contract he signed
Thanks in advance:
What gives my husbands mother and older brother the right in setting up a code at the hospital disallowing my husband and his sister in getting any information about their brother when they call the hospital? Their sister lives in Wisconsin and we live in Texas. The sister & brother in hospital are twins.
The brother in the hospital is being kept unconscious due to tubes down throat. Weak lungs, pneumonia & detoxify – alcoholic
Thanks again for any answers

P.S. I just found out that the one in the hospital had put his mom & sister in control of decisions in his health care if he became incapacitated and his mom & older brother had the sister removed. How was that possible???

My father died back in May. My mother can't afford the rent and is looking for another place. She received a letter from a lawyer stating she has 3 days to be evicted. Doesn't the sheriff department only have the authority to handle this in NY state?
There is not much I can do to help, here. A local attorney can possibly find a way to mitigate the damage or even challenge the search, but that will depend on all the details.

can you help me with my child support papers
Yellowstone National Park
Montana
Federal court

Hello, I recently got pulled over in Yellowstone National Park for Speeding. The Officer saw a beer in the back seat and immediately started searching the car. He found a small bag of weed in my purse. I got charged with possession of a controlled substance as a minor. ( 36 CFR 2.35 B2) I need to know what is the usual punishment for this and if its worth getting a lawyer. It was in Montana but its a federal crime since it was in the national park. This is my first offense so I'm trying to keep everything off my record if possible. Please help!!

Hello, I have a question that i am hoping you may have an answer for. My fiance is incarcerated and has been since Jan. for Arson. He has not yet got sentenced and wont be until Nov. Some recent information was brought up and is contained in letters. He was not the only one involved and was actually in the car passed out during the fire. The note contains the other guy stating my fiance was in the car and he will make sure "the truth is known". He also stated he is still in the dark about it and most likely means he is afraid to tell the truth for he will go down for all. Is this information important in thecase? And any other help you can give? Thank you
