I have been ordered to pay child support on my two girls, they have separate dads and they each live with there dad. I do not work and my husband and I have a 19 month old. I pay 25 a month and I found out that they split that between the 2 cases. I was wondering if I give up my parental rights to there dads would I still have to pay shild support?

My wife & I bought a car two weeks ago. She doesn't drive, but is on insurance as owner, finance co wants her as a driver. But she doesn't drive due to medical reasons. She has no licenses/ So they are now saying deal can't go threw because of this. We bought this car 2 wks ago and they are now harassing us over her not being on insurance as a driver. Does anyone know if they can take the car back because of this. It never said in the contract she had to be driver. She is on the loan as co applicant. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated!

Have a question, need advice.
I created a t-shirt design about 5 and a half years ago and after getting permission to use a quote on the back from Nelson Publishing, I registered and obtained a copyright on the design. At that time and before getting the copyright, I had searched the internet to see if there was anyone who had done anything close to what I was developing - I found nothing.
Well, recently, I submitted this design to one of the top manufacturing t-shirt companies - they replied today saying they liked the design, it was clever, but they had goggled it and found 3 other designs close to it, though not as well executed as my design. I did my own search and found one. I tried to look into who created it, but was not able to find a name. In comparing the two, my design is totally different in composition and the way I have illustrated the picture. The statement is the same and the person saying the statement is the same, that's it. My design has an added quote as I stated before, there's does not. Problem is, I didn't know this was out there and don't know when theirs was created. My design is rendered completely differently and the composition is completely different.
Am I in violation of copyright law? Does my work stand as a totally new and
different design that I can use on t-shirts, posters, banners, etc. Need help with this - I don't want to do anything that would violate this other designer's copyright and I don't want to just toss my copyrighted idea. I'd like to submit to you the two designs for you to view, if at all possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for advice. I currently share 50/50 custody with my ex husband. I am remarried and have one child with my current husband and 2 with my ex. My ex was living with a women, who has 2 boys one 14 and one 9. My daughter recently (who is 10) told us that she was being sexually abused by the 14 year old every other weekend she went with her dad. The boy has since admitted to it and has gone to court. He is currently living in a group home 2 hours from us. When my ex found out about his he told me that he would never see this women again, they are no longer living there, but he is now seeing the women again along with her 9 year old son. My daughter sees them when she stays with her dad and is very nervouse about seeing her and uncomfortable. I am concerned because the 14 year old has been in trouble for drugs and shopplifting also. There is such a lack of supervision at my ex's house. I am concerned that he is putting them back into a dangerous situation and exposing them to things they should not be exposed to. Do you think I have a chance at primary placement with visitation rights for him.

I posted a bond for my friend a couple years ago and he was released, however the case for which the bond was posted got terminated last year because he has a prior case pending of which he appealled to High Court and currently awaiting a decision. Can I apply for a refund of the bond since the case related to the bond has terminated? If so, do I need an attorney or can I apply on my own if I have the bond receipt and bond agreement? How do I apply or where can I go for more information?

Can you help me with how to get my belongings back from my sisters house where she had me move in with her. I have proof that she asked me for months to move in and this is what i worried about. well Sunday she locked me out of the house and wont give me anything back.

I posted a message about my 17 yr. old son who opened a checking account a few days ago. We just returned from the bank where we were informed that it was perfectly legal to open an account to people as young as 16 and that "All the banks are doing it now." If he cannot pay these charges, he will be in the "checksystem" for the next 7 years, and unable to have a bank account during that time. Is there anything that we can do? Thanks for your help. hello. are you familar with federal habeas corpus petitions? rather, i am trying to litigate a conviction after non litigation in about 10 years. i was convicted by jury. as you know, important issues are never argued on appeal these days if u have no lawyer. i have strong constitutional issues but i need some direction.

I really don't know. I suppose it depends on what they want from you when you show up. Out here they get names from the voter rolls ... I guess your state does it differently.

I suppose you can try to ask for an exemption from duty, but they may not grant it and you may have to show up.

Thank you for your response cbg. I understand volunteers working on their own time but many of the posts are from people NEEDING help and not knowing where else to go. Much less being able to afford legal consultation. I do appreciate your efforts but even a "I don't know" would be nice. Thanks again.

Hello, I received a letter in the mail from a mortgage company offering to refinance my home. They said that they had been working with me back in 2007. They went on to say that they had recently reviewed my file and could now get this refinace done. Of course after I submitted the information they were not able to get this done due to the value of my home not being sufficient. Can they do this, tell you that they can get this done then not get it done?
