Hey All,

Unfortunately, I moved into an apartment on a 12-month lease with my girlfriend about 2 months ago only to have her cheat on me 2 weeks ago. Now she is planning to move out next weekend and I am curious as to what my rights are, if any. Specifically, we have been splitting rent and utilities 50/50 and now I will have to bare that in its entirety - that does not seem fair in my opinion. Both our names are on the lease and it is a one bedroom. We split all the furniture in the aparment 50/50 as well. Do I have any financial rights in this situation? The fee to break the lease is the equivalent of two months rent; however, we wouldn't be necessarily breaking the lease - we're just considering taking her name off of it. Do I not have to agree to this? Can she technically be considered liable for her half of the rent for the entire 12 month lease? Or can she pay me the required two months rent in order to break her half of the lease? I'd sincerely appreciate any feedback or advice!

Thanks!

I Have A Friend Who Needs Advice On Paying A Speeding Ticket. He Has Missed His Court Date. What Should He Do
Auto Dealer Fraud

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I purchased a "dealer new" car in January of this year in the state of Indiana. I have had numerous problems with the car, and they continue to this day. Today, I discovered that the car had been in an accident before I purchased it. This was never disclosed to me by the dealership.

I am the first owner, and I paid for a new car. What I got was a used car that had been in an accident.

I would like to return the car to the dealership, and have the auto loan voided. Is this possible?

Just trying to get some advise wether or not to spend this $205.00 to take her to small claims court.

The agreement was that she would go to her other house in Ocala and come to the condo maybe every other weekend and sleep on a blow up mattress on the living room floor. I believe she has the conod for sale. and dont you have to have other people that are living in the condo go through the condo association first?
C
She was still using the condo address as homestead.
C
Even if the owner was living in the condo. She never left. She was just renting the rooms.

Even though the agreement was to move in with my friend and when she backed out the agreement was off. So you are saying that I was still in an agreement with the owner even though my friend backed out?

I have a friend who told me about a lady wanting to rent her condo out. I moved in and my friend backed out of the deal. I never signed anything and never got a key. Not even sure if the owner ran it by the condo association. I stayed 3 days and moved out. I gave her a $600 security deposit and the owner is refusing to give any of it back. Do I have any chance in small calms court?

I have a teneat/lanlord question can you help?
Yes still married, only trying to help our son was the reason. I let it go at that, hoping he would pay. I guess I will go to court and explain that my rights to ammend the clauses within such an agreement were waived, but I would be willing to settle for a lower amount (minus late fees, etc)
Are you and your wife married? Were you at the time?

What does SHE say about the matter?

Signing your name is not necessarily criminal if there is no intent to defraud or steal from another. If you were married, then it's likely not going to be a criminal matter, but it might be.

You can check with the local police to see whether there are grounds for a criminal investigation, and with an attorney concerning a civil suit.
I did not sign a loan co-sign agreement since I was out of the country. I later learned my wife had signed my name on my behalf for our son to buy a car. You guessed it, they are coming after me. Is there any recoarse since I let this drag on for so long and its now going to court. Passport entry dates place me elsewhere at the time of the signing, incidently, the signing took place through mail coorespondence without witnesses since he lives out of state.

I Have Been Employed At A Physicians Office For A Little Over 2 Years. When I Was Hired, Along With Several Other Employees The Office Manager Never Told Us That They Offered A 401k Plan. But There Are Several Long Time Employees Who Are Participants In The Fund Who Became Eligible After 1 Year. I Just Became Aware Of This Because She Left A Statement In My Office Mailbox Regarding The Contribution From The Office. I Never Have Contributed To This Plan Which Has An Employer Match. According To The Statement I Was Eligible To Do So In October 2007! But Was Never Updated. Which I Fully Would Of Took Advantage Of If I Had Known. What Liability Does If Any The Employer Have For Not Notifing Me Of This.i Feel As If I Was Robbed Of A Very Vital Asset.
