Juvenile charges

Hello, my question pertains to my juvenile record. I got into some trouble when I was 16 yrs. old and recently ran a background check on myself through the state. Upon doing so my check came back as me having a record? I am currently 25 yrs. old about to turn 26 and wonder why my juvenile record would be coming up on a background check. I thought that my record would have been expunge upon my 21st birthday? I would like to know ways that I could go about addressing this. Any help would be appreciated.

Not all records of minors are sealed or expunged as is widely assumed

Burglary F2 Grade and Theft by unlawful taking F3 Grade. I have not gotten into any trouble since then?

Different states have different procedures.

My juvenile record was sealed ONLY after I had it sealed. Otherwise it would still be open to the public.
