Consumer Fraud irs pin

hello sir, madam,

Why a foreign company ask for my irs pin
thank you for your time

I'm sure the alleged, foreign entity wouldn't do anything illegal.

That said, no one is mandated to answer a question.

In this case, you were smart enough to recognize a potential scam.

Using your wisdom, you stopped the scammer from robbing you blind.

Did they ask for an Identity Protection Pin or (F)EIN? If the former, then likely a scam since that number is never supposed to shared with anyone. If you mean they asked for EIN on an application, then likely you were doing business with the company.

The IRS never calls to communicate. Its all done through USPS in writing.
