Should I be getting a salary instead of wages

I use judgement at my job all day long when dealing with certain items and I was told that if you use judgement in your field under law you should maintain a salary not hourly wages.

If you were hired to work hourly and you accepted that contract, that is what you get paid, regardless of the nature of the work you do. If you want to change from hourly to salary, that is up to your company's management to decide. Good Luck!
