My ex hasn't been paying child support for 5 months. The state recently took him to court to suspend his DL. He got a purge of $1000. The next day I was served with child support modification due to job change, but he is working "under the table". He also filed for child custody of our 17 year old who has been living with me, saying our son "wants to live with him" Scared the courts may actually entertain this notion and he hasn't proven change of income except what he says on paper. No taxes, no current paystubs, etc. Could this actually happen?

In all likelihood, nothing (or very little) will change before the kid becomes an adult.

As far as getting a change, he'll have to PROVE, and the court will check.
So, let him have his day in court.
You want one, too?
Go ahead, file some paperwork and you can be heard.

If it did happen, the kid will be 18 soon anyway.
If I were you, I'd let it go.
The journey is nearly over. Let it go, just be happy.
Otherwise, if it bothers you so much, hire a lawyer.
