Misleading you to come in for suspension

So early this morning my employer called me to ask if I could come in to work 2 hours early so they could talk to me about my availability, I promptly showed up and they invited me back and gave me a suspension instead (the suspension is justified and this is not about that) so I'm wondering if it is legal for them to lie and mislead me like that just to get me to come in?

The law doesn't care about lies, unless they're told under oath, or to law enforcement, especially FEDERAL AGENTS.

Think about it, mate, had you said, "Sorry, I can't come in early I'm at my physician's office."

Say you were lying, you couldn't be prosecuted.

Lies are part and parcel of society, let it go, suck it up, start a new job search.

Why?

A job suspension is USUALLY the PRECURSOR to a job termination!!!!
