Hello,
My soon to be ex filed a order to show cause claiming I make so much more money than I really do. Went to the hearing and the judge ordered a evidentiary trial with a mandatory settlement conference before the trial.
My question is do I need to send in any sort of statement before the MSC. It was my wife that brought all these issues to court but I am wondering if I need to send the court a MSC declaration beforehand. Also, would I need to send a copy to her attorney and how many days ahead of the MSC would I need to send it.
Thanks
Michael
I am representing myself because I do not have the money for and attorney. I am not hiding income, and I can bring my pay stubs, tax returns etc. to prove this. But do I need to file a MSC statement before attending the MSC.
Thanks
Michael

You should run thus by your attorney.

If you don't have one, you might want to hire one to defend against this fishing accusation.

You might be able to argue successfully that you aren't required to do this.

If you've hidden income (I'm not saying you have), you might open yourself to other problems.
