If my currant wife and I married in July and then separated in June the same year, then is that considered being married for 11 months? Or does the date that someone files for the divorce the time that the marriage has ended as far as lenght of marriage?

Alimony in generally non existant for a marriage of 1 year. Sonny, stop listening to your wife. If she works then she definitely would not get alimony.

It sounds like you need an attorney. Neither of you should pay either any money except to pay off joint debt incurred in the marriage.
