If you wish to change laws, you can start by entering politics and seeking an office in your state's legislature.
You could even pursue election to the US House or Senate.
If that isn't to your liking, you could start a lobbying effort of your state's elected officials.
That requires you to get enough people to join your organization so that politicians and the media begin to listen to your agenda.
If existing laws bar you from pursuing a remedy for your grievances, YOU and others would have to get those laws changed.
None of the above bars you from seeking help for anything that disrupts your mental health.
You, as can I, are free to seek psychological help, psychiatric help, spiritual help, or mental health help.
That are many ways to pursue those goals, you have to find one, two, or a million that work for you!
I am looking at the Lobbying side of this. That sounds to be the best rout. I have spent my whole life in therapy and now that I have my profile I can create a control study that will show that the Statute of Limitations in this particular situation needs to have a different criteria than laws based on time.
As I have found, a person may go well into their adult life petrified of seeking any form of justice as in my case.
I think that by changing the laws, and with the speed at which communication travels today. We can generate a debate about how to help those of US who have been victim to something that literally follows us our whole lives.
This cause major financial grievances, and this adds an entire un needed layer of burden that the person has no control over the "why" of this particular situation.
I believe my goal in this thread will be to find ppl who do understand laws and can guide me to understanding how to create something that is more efficient than the current.
I am not however looking for therapy, sympathy, or any form of free services. I'm simply trying to open up a thread for resource material and advice on the law side of this subject. I use my life as a fragment of a control study, as we are all different but similar in nature.
The hardest issue is determining, how to de-stigmatize society in order to take a serious look at just how bad , ignoring this past the statute of limitations is on society as a whole.
Thanks, Judge for the response. I hope I'm articulating my words correctly as not to be misunderstood on why I'm putting this thread on this site.
