Have Been Employed At A Physicians Office For A Little Over 2 Years. When I Was Hired, Along With Several Other Employees The Office Manager Never Told Us That They Offered A 401k Plan. But There Are Several Long Time Employees Who Are Participants In The Fund Who Became Eligible After 1 Year. I Just Became Aware Of This Because She Left A Statement In My Office Mailbox Regarding The Contribution From The Office. I Never Have Contributed To This Plan Which Has An Employer Match. According To The Statement I Was Eligible To Do So In October 2007! But Was Never Updated. Which I Fully Would Of Took Advantage Of If I Had Known. What Liability Does If Any The Employer Have For Not Notifing Me Of This.i Feel As If I Was Robbed Of A Very Vital Asset.

When you were hired, did the office manager give you an employee handbook? If yes, is there a section regarding benefits and your elegibility for them?
