First, why wouldn't you be entitled to a lawyer? And secondly, driving under the influence is a law violation no matter what the reason is. I don't think a judge would say that was okay given the circumstances you were in.

I assume that if they have a rule against this, you would have to pay for the damages IF a wreck occurs. You should talk to the rental company to clarify however.

I think what he/she's trying to say is that because you had him arrested and charged with innappropriate touching, the landlord will have to pay for an attorney because of this. I compeletely agree with your actions though, I would have done the same thing!

I agree, unless you can prove your rep. was damaged there really isn't anything you can do besides complain to who wrote it, and/or to the site. I also may be difficult to prove damages if you decide to litigate.

You should find out the statute of limitations in your state. If this date has passed, the debt is unenforceable. Is is liquidated or not?

I understand your point, but the difference with the legal profession is that lawyers aren't paid to give customer service. They give thier legal advice to you for a price. If they just answered everyone's questions over the phone for free they would never make a living!

No! Of course they should want to, and are entitled to payment. I meant that I'm sure attorneys run into this a lot: people wanting some sort of small question answered without coming in and paying thier fee. I love lawyers, I want to be one...especially if I can charge $150 an hour. :D
