I was asked to run an errand (not usually a part of my job) by my employer. While on the errand, I wrecked my car causing $4000+ in damages. Is my employer liable for these damages? Appreciate any advice you all may have.

I can't explain, that is why I am asking the question. I can only say that if I had not been asked to run this errand, I would not have been involved in the wreck. Just wondering if it relates like a work comp situation. Injured while on the job, employer responsible. I did not suffer personal injury just property damage.

WC is about personal injury which you dont have. Since your employer did "not" cause accident I cannot see how they can be made to pay. Unless you were insured by them during this errand. Run your theory past your insurance agent
