I have a 17 year old step daughter my husband pay child support for. She is currently not living with her mother, but with her boyfriend and their almost 1 year old child. Her 18th birthday is coming up soon and she is currently not enrolled in school. When would my husband's child support duties end according to Texas law? Does it just stop or does he need to file with the AG?

Child support in Texas ends when the child becomes an adult at age 18, or the child is finishing high school.

Generally, the parent paying such support needs to do nothing.
