Well my fiancee just had an interview at a bank 2 weeks ago. They told her she got the job, and would start on the 22nd of this month (which they said would be enough to put in a 2 week notice at her job now) and she would need to be fingerprinted sometime before that.
Well she put in her two week notice and waited for them to call.....her 2 week notice was expired and still no call. so she emailed them several times and they said they couldent find her number and that human resorce will be calling her the next day. Well they called and said she didnt have the job anymore.. now she has to try and get her job back, and face the embaresment of comming back.
my main problem with this is that they told her she had the job(she has papers that say she was hired), but now they are going back on the job offer after her two week notice expired..is that legal? What should we do? we live in oregon if that can be usefull.
