Ms Olivetree, here's the problem.

AJ is an attorney and a judge. He knows Texas law better than you know the inside of your hand. And though I'm a mere layperson, I know what they refer to as "a whole boatload" (I'm being terrifically polite) about family law.

Now, either you have told the lawyer a different set of facts, or you're misunderstanding something you've been told.

Because based purely on what you've written here, you will fail if you try to take this to court.

I'm sorry you don't want to hear that, or that you haven't grasped that.

Proserpina, haven't we heard the "I'm consulting with an attorney" story many times over?

I'm betting there was no visit made to an attorney, just a feeble attempt to save face!

Many, many, MANY times.

I also note with interest that my very relevant questions were not answered. Odd, that.

Odd?

I'm of the opinion it was evasive.

Why do many people want you to lie to them, or tell them what they wish to here?

Even though it is difficult to hear, I've always preferred the truth!!!

If the great Jack Nicholson were here, he may respond with (to the OPs) "You can't HANDLE the truth!"

I'm fairly certain that comes into play quite, quite often. ;)
