I am working toward an uncontested divorce in New Jersey.

I am the plaintiff and my wife is the defendant, simply because I am taking the lead in the process.

We have used a web service to fill out all applicable forms.

My question is can I personally hand her the summons, or do I need to send it via certified mail, officer, etc?

Thank You in advance for your help.

You can go check your state's law..as far as i know, you have to hand it personally to your wife..also, before both of you pursue the case, have you ever weighed if the reason for your divorce has legal grounds?

I've read from a divorce guide site that there is no legal grounds for person who "cannot demonstrate they have been living apart for a specified period of time."
