Texas being a commow law state.....I do not want to start my own business until I have done whatever is necessary to prohibit my estranged husband from being able to claim an interest in it. At what point in the dissolution of a marriage does the income cease to be community?
Time of Separation?
Date Divorce is Filed?
Date Divorce if Final?
I need an answer as someone is in town to help me with this biz. I posted yesterday and for some reason no one bothered to reply. Is it that hard of a question? Or do I need to provide more information? Please advise as a lot is at stake.
