Time clock and performance

Does my employer have to pay for time I was in Human Resources being issued a corrective action? I reported to work and was told not to clock in and was taken to Human Resources and councils for almost an hour then advised I was being suspended. The time in the office was not voluntary so should I be paid for it?
 
It is a grey area but you weren't actually performing any service to the employer, in fact, just the opposite. If you have a CBA or contract of some kind, that might make it more clear.
