I worked for a US company based in california, who alloted Stock Options to me when i joined them, after leaving the co., I sold some part of it within a time frame based on the market valuation, However one day when i logged to my account i found balance shares removed from my account on communicating with them thru email they inform me that the shares have to sold three months after leaving the co. and because the co. had a system error they did not remove it earlier, they informed me that the details of this exist in the joining agreement (which I am unable to find). I would like to know if I can issue a legal case against them on the basis of them not informing me about any such notice or infomation put verbally or written at the time of joining or during my tenure at their company.
