In March of 2010 I sent my soon to be ex husband joint petition for summary decree of divorce papers. He resides in Texas and I reside in Nevada. He signed, dated and had them notarized on March 26, 2010. He just now sent them back to me! Can I still file these documents, it being almost a year later?
I have no way of contacting him to get this revised. His phone is disconnected and I heard he has fled Texas because he has warrants. I don't know what my next direction is to get this divorce finalized. Its a simple divorce. No kids, no property or debt to divide. I didn't even change my last name.

You can try.
The court will advise if that is acceptable. .

Otherwise, you'll simply have to file again and list your husband as an absconder. That means he's fled and you don't know his whereabouts.

I don't know about NV, but you might be required to report him as missing to complete the process.

This won't stop things.

It'll just slow them down some more!!!
