Statute Of Limitations for proof of Paternity??

Hello All,, Ok back in the mid 80's A Women claimed that I was the father of her child, she filed a Paternity case with DHS and they requested that I take a DNA test which I did but the child lived with the grandparents and due to the mothers unstable life they refused to have the child tested so DHS dropped the case, Now the child is a 26 year old adult and I received a letter in the mail from DHS asking if I could help locate the mother, Obviously after all these years I have no clue where she is and that was my reply to them, so im not sure why they are looking for her after 26 years?? Also since Paternity was never proven does the mother or her 26 yr old daughter have a case if they file, as in support ?? or anything else?? Thanks.

Meaning that they have no case at all ??

Meaning they are looking for Mom and not talking to you about child, child support or the like

Thanks for the reply, Also ive tried to find information about the statute of limitations for proof of perternity here in Oklahoma but ive had no luck??

At this point it doesnt matter as it appears to be an issue related to Mom not you
