Does a person have a case of the VP of their former company goes on social media (Facebook) and states you didn't do you Job, makes bad comments about you, and then send you a text admitting not only that they did say it but they are not taking it off of social media and it can be proven inaccurate? Thank you

That is what some people call an opinion.
If a judge agrees, its not actionable.

The VP of your former company is entitled to hold, and express, and opinion about your work that you do not share.
