Recently i have come out and disclosed to my family that one of my older siblings molested me when i was between 5 and 9 and he decided to post things publicly on social media telling everyone things that aren't true about me in order to make me look like i made up what i told family members. I confronted him in 2011 about what he did and he admitted to me in an email that what he did was wrong and he was partially responsible for the way things turned out in my life. Such as never getting married or having children. I feel as though he has abused me all over again by saying things that are causing me problems at work. He even posted a pic of my company and the name of the Human Resource Manager telling people to call and make complaints against me to cause me problems at work. I know people at work heard seen his posts and the pics that are telling people am a crack head and calling me liar. He is 7 and a half yrs older then me and claims his abuse of me as a 5 yr old was him just experimenting like all kids do. Well i never did that. He claims he knew he was already gay and didn't know how to handle it. He says you act like i was some kind of adult when it happened. Then he goes on saying he was just a 12 yr old. Well either way it wasn't a one time thing it lasted till i was older enough to realize this is normal stuff that brothers do. It really has affected me during my life but more so in recent years. I don't know if i can get something from him because he did admit partial responsibility. He is a retired Cop who has had his share of problems with how he treats people. Am more upset with his public posts and pictures making people reply to his posts thinking because he's my brother that they must be true. I haven't tried to defend myself to people who we both know because i don't feel i need to explain my innocence. If there's anyone who can help me i would greatly appreciate it. Sincerely yours

How awful, and most regrettable. I'm afraid the law is of no use to you. You need to reach out to a support group and to speak with professional counselors and therapists. I wish you the healing and happiness you deserve in life. All I can add is stay away from him and ignore him.
He recently posted that am in debt with credit cards and stated i owe a 100,000 dollars from porn sites on the internet. recently he accused me of my dog dying from an overdose from finding one of my coke bags. My dog died 7 yrs ago and he was 11 yrs old and i had taken him to the vet a few times to find out what was causing him to be in pain and now he accuses me of killing my dog. He is that low of a person. He posted pics of my dog telling everyone i killed him. He has sent emails and letters to my sister with such disgusting things about her and he doesn't ever stop because he's always gotten away with things because of his job as a cop. There's no law that allows me to sue him for slander? I'd donate it to charity if i was awarded anything. I just for once wanna see him pay for how he treats people. It just seems wrong that he can say and post public lies and there's nothing i can do. That's the hardest part i guess am gonna face. I Thank You Judge for your reply.

Sure, you can sue him for slender, libel, defamation of character, most any tort you wish.
That's not cheap, and it can't be done in small claims.
Speak with a lawyer.
I'm pretty sure you can find one for about $10,000 to get his attention.
Heck, shop around, I'll bet some, young, eager beaver will do it for $5,000.

What are you doing the next few months Judge ?lol I will see if someone will be willing to at least look at the case and wanna take it on. What do i have to lose. If i wait around he'll just continue his disgusting behavior and make more people's lives unhappy.

I have a closet full of suits, I'll happily never wear again, except for 2-3 days every quarter when I pretend to hear a few cases sitting as a visiting judges, arraignments and bail setting mostly, with a few motions for good measure.
Between you and me, I'm wearing blue jeans, sometimes coveralls, my old cowboy boots under that old, black dress.
I might wear a suit one of those days, just to win the pool the bailiffs run about when I wear a suit. I like those guys, but they aren't too smart about who they let into the pool.
