If he leaves and decides not to pay, you'll have to pay, if you don't want the LL to evict you.

However, you can talk to a divorce lawyer, and the lawyer can file a petition with the court to require him to POSSIBLY pay for (or contribute) to the rent payments.

That isn't automatic, it depends upon your personal and financial circumstances.

So, visit a couple lawyers and see what can be done.

If such a petition CAN'T be filed, then you'll have to pay, or risk getting evicted.
If that is the case, you might want to make OTHER arrangements ASAP.

Your landlord wants his rent - he doesn't really care who pays it. If it's not paid then whoever is living in the rented property will be evicted.

You should ask the attorney that drafted your separation agreement.
