I work in Kansas. How many hours can they make a salary person work legally? I am scheduled for 90 hours in one week. Anything be done about this?

Sorry for the honesty but we are in the 21st century and slavery is a thing of the past. You need to find yourself a new job to stop being exploited like this!

While in principle I agree with the answer above, legally there are only two states that limit the number of hours an employee of any status (exempt, non-exempt, salaried, hourly, part time, full time) can be required to work and Kansas is neither of them. A very few additional states (also not including Kansas) require one day off out of every seven (though not limiting the number of hours that can be worked in the other six. In remaining states, including Kansas, you could legally be required to work 168 hours per week. It would be immeasurably foolish, but it would be legal.
