Hi, I'm hoping to gain some legal advice.

I am at risk of redundancy =O

I am worried that I will only get the state minimum (UK) of 1 week notice period (just under 2 years working at the Company).

Our notice period if we want to leave the Company is set out in the contract as 3 months. However, it does not specifically specify redundancy.

I am thinking about handing in my 3 month notice now, before they come to a decision.

This will ensure I get 3 more months of pay, and not the 1 week that I may get.

Does the Company have to honour a notice whilst I am at risk of redundancy?

Thanks in advance,
Kai =)

Just as a further explanation, the law of the US and the law of the UK is not the same, and in fact where employment law is concerned can be very different. It's not that we're being exclusionary; it's that we have no experts in UK law here.
