Will pending cases show up in your pre-employment background check, if so will it disclose what your case is , or will it just say pending case? I was asked about convictions, and not pending cases….

The answer to what information will show up in any given background check depends on how deep and thorough a background check is requested. It can be as simple as confirming the dates of employment with your last employer to a full FBI clearance and anything in between.

Agree. We can't say what will show up on the background check any specific employer does. It depends on how thorough of a background check the employer does. All background checks are not the same (equal) & all employers do not request the same background check. It's "possible" for your pending case to show up.

If we are talking criminal, yes, pending claims would show on a background check. Such charges are public record so it would be very easy to find out what you had been charged with.
