I worked at Pizza Hut for about 4 years. I was promoted to shift manager. My evaluations were all good and I was never disciplined for anything. I was fired about a week ago for reasons I do not really understand and I don't think they are valid. One reason was that the general manager said I was sleeping with 3 girls there (I was not). He also said that I did not return a call once when they were trying to call me in to cover when someone had called in sick. I am not on 24 hour call and they did not even try my home phone, just my cell phone. Is this legal? They did not even say who the 3 girls supposedly were. They mentioned no problems about my work performance, just petty made up things. What can I do?

File for unemployment.

This is not a wrongful termination and is perfectly legal.
