My husband just received the chancellors judgement in the child custody case. (retro support only, emancipated child, no insurance to be provided)
We are in Florida. Child/Mother is in Tennessee.
Now that we know the full amount-can we pay it all at once instead of having monthly payments?
If so, does the Mother receive the lump sum or does she receive the monthly payment amounts from the court? (this does have bearing as the mother refuses to work and is living off and with parents at age 38)
Also, if we can and choose NOT to pay off total amount at once, can we double up on payments randomly?
Bottom line...must we adhere to the 'mimimum' amount stated per month.
