Paternity actions abroad

In September 2003, I met an Englishman residing in the US on a work visa. We began dating and in January 2004 I discovered I was pregnant. Our relationship was over as soon as he discovered I wasn't going to have an abortion. He told me that he never wanted children and wants nothing to do with his child. We are both 34 and he got along great with my son so this came as quite a shock. I left him alone during my pregnancy however 2 months after our daughter was born, I heard from mutual friends that he had taken a job in Germany and would be leaving the country soon. We spoke and he informed me that this was true. He left the following month when his visa ran out. I know where he is currently employed and his location in Germany. He did not respond to the paternity action here in the US of course, so the question I pose is this... Can I go to Germany and bring a paternity suit against him there? Or England even? Thanks for any advice
