my daughter lives with my ex-wife in Michigan and I live in Arizona because of my job. I am trying to get my ex-wife to allow my daughter, who is 16, to fly down and visit me for a week or two this summer. I speak with my daughter regularly and she is very excited about this opportunity. I have explained ti my Ex-wife that I will pay all expenses and that the flight will be Non-stop direct from there to here and back and that I will be there waiting at the gate to get her off the plane. I have also explained supervision of my daughter between myself and my brother. We work different shifts so there will be constant supervision. But my ex-wife refuses to allow her to visit. My daughter has flown many times before, but never alone. Do I have any legal right to get my ex to allow this visitation? Please help or let me know my next step.

Is there a visitation plan (long DISTANCE visitation plan) and if so what does it state?

Jesus, she is 16 not 6. You guys need to treat her a little more like an adult or when she turns 18 she will go wild when you can't do anything to her. You can take this to court and get a long distance visitation plan if your ex is being unreasonable and it sounds like she is.
