NSF payroll checks!

I work for a small company in Knoxville and my employer has a history of writing bad payroll checks. In the past 5 months that I've worked for him, he's bounced 5 paychecks! He's made good on all of them, but I'm getting tired of not being able to rely on getting paid when I'm supposed to. My regular payday is Friday, but lately my paychecks have been post-dated for the following Wednesday. Even with this, it doesn't stop at least one check a month from bouncing. Is there any legal recourse I can take?

The next time a paycheck bounces, notify the state DOL.
