Non-compete acquisition

I currently work for a company and had to sign a non-compete for only one of their competitors, that was five years ago. Since that time, that company has been acquired by a much larger company. That being said, would my non-compete still be enforceable if I were to gain employment with the larger company that acquired the smaller company? Also, I am in technical service, not sales.

More than likely, YES.
But, that's just a guess.
To be sure its always best to obtain the opinion of an attorney in your county.

Any time a non compete is involved your best bet is to have it reviewed by an employment or contract attorney in your area.

And better to have it reviewed by an attorney BEFORE you sign it.

After you sign it, it's too late.

agree it is going to depend on wording and is best to let a local attorney review it
