My husband just started a new job as a pharmacist for a pharm company. He's under a contract that if he decides to leave, he can't work for anybody in the 100 mile radius for 1 year.
After his second week on a job, he tells me that two pharmacists quit last year and that the company found out where one of them was going to work and wrote a letter to him and his new boss that they would sue them for the potential loss of business.
Is this legal?
The fact that two professionals quit within a short span of time and they can't work in their own town just doesn't make sense.
Thank you in advance
