hi iam 18 and i want to get custidy of my best friends baby because he is not in a good place i call him my nephew because iam really the only family he has any ways the story is she is doing drugs again and drinking i went o her house the other night and she was really drunk no one was taking care of the baby and the father is hitting her day and night and is also in trouble with the law alot and i just want to do what is best for the baby and when his mom he screams and when he is with me and my mom he is the most happy baby ever please help me i really need to take care of this baby

This is just never going to happen. Ever. Please contact CPS if the child is abused/neglected.

You may consider yourself family, but the law sees you as a legal stranger.

I commend you, however, for caring about this precious child.

If the child is facing hurt, harm, or danger; it would be wise to report that to the local police or CPS.

Your battle for custody of this child, will be all uphill.

If you are serious, I'm sure you are, speak with a lawyer.

What you seek is nearly impossible to achieve.


The child's father, grandparents, and other relatives stand ahead of you in the custody chain; as well as, already approved foster parents!!!
