I recently moved from my grandmothers to my mothers. There are a few things my grandmother or father bought me as "gifts" for birthday, Christmas, or for something good I'd done (like maybe scoring 26 goals in a soccer season). The most vauable things include my favorite electric guitar, laptop, drumset. Now that I moved away legally through court she says I can't have them. And my father traded the TV he bought me for a birthday present, for a woodstove for himself. Can they do this? Playing guitar was my lifee!!

I'm assuming you are a minor?
You don't own anything. Whatever you think is yours, belongs to your parents. If your grandparents were your legal guardians at the time, then whatever you think was yours was theirs.
That's just the way it is. When you are 18 you can get your own stuff.

But then isn't it just my word against theirs? I have no way to prove they "gave" it to me... They're just gonna say they were letting me use it all. They don't want any of it they're just mad that I wanted to live with my mom

They can say it fell from the sky if they want. The point is- you don't own any property whether it was a gift or not. Everything you think is yours belongs to your parents or your legal guardians. Do your best to get along with them and ask nicely to use the items.

I agree with the minor. They were gifts and belong to her. Anything I've given my children or anyone throughout my life became theirs. I guess there are laws saying I'm wrong but if I were a judge I'd definitely rule in the minor's favor!

Judges must go by the law, Dear.

I have made it very clear to my children ~ I own the air they breathe ~ and everything in it.

Until they can make it on their on, thereby the grace of mommy and daddy they go:yes:
