Married or not?

My husband and I were married in Dec of 2002. His divorce was (unbeknownst to me) not finalized until February of 2003. We got married in Texas, but are now living in GA. I'm in the military, we have 2 kids together, he's in nursing school. Are we actually married? Could I really end this without a divorce? Where do I stand legally?

Either get married again and solve the whole problem for sure OR get divorced and solve the whole problem for sure.
