I have had legal guardianship of my grandchildren through the courts in Tulsa OK for about 4 years. I now understand that their father, who is now changing himself into a female, is about to seek custody. He lives in the state of Kansas. What are his chances?

Less than 1% from where I sit.

You've parented those lucky kids for four years.

Where's their "almost" new mommy been?

No worries, grandmother.

Guardianship is not custody, and Dad's paternal rights have not been stripped. His rights trump even court-ordered guardianship and he (she) may not even need a CoC to get the kids back.

With that said - much may depend on WHY and HOW grandparent ended up with guardianship...so more details are needed.

Also, how old are the kids?
