Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders I've been called as a witness in prostitution case

The masseuse I was with, was arrested during a massage. They did not arrest me, but I've contacted to be a witness for jury trial for the asst.SA. My question is do I need to show up. We are from a small county and I'm fairly well known. Can I have some type of anonymity?

If you have been called pursuant to subpoena, then you could be arrested if you fail to show up at court.

Sorry, but courts are a matter of public record. Remaining anonymous is going to depend on how much coverage the trial receives.

Just because you've been contacted, doesn't mean that you will be. Odds are, this thing will be settled before you have to testify.
