how long do i have to sue someone for services rendered

I do freelance graphic design work. I did work for a woman for a few months and never got paid for my work. I guess it was dumb of me to go that long and not get paid but I usually never have a problem. This was the first time in 4 yrs that I ever had a problem with anyone. My question is what is my statutes of limitations on taking her to small claims? Please let me know. Thanks in advance...
