I have been married for about 8 years, I am Australian and my husband is German. We have decided to divorce. I am wondering, which laws will pertain to our divorce, Australia or Germany, and what are laws in Germany pertaining to assets acquired before the marriage, are they to be divided or are they classed as separate, there is no pre-nuptial or other pre-marital agreement.
