I am located in DC and I was recently fired from my job and my account shows that they paid me for the time I was on vacation, then turned around and debited my account. Can they deny me my vacation time? A few years ago I remember someone saying that if somebody takes vacation then turns around and leaves the company soon after that they will not pay you. Please say this isn't so?

DC's stance on payment of accrued vacation at termination is ambiguous at best, based mainly on court cases, since the law has "no provision" one way or the other.

Relative to calling back your direct deposit that included (solely, I am assuming) vacation pay, that is legal although, IMHO, a really tacky thing to do.
