Hello, This is my first post here. I have a child support question. The NCP is my husband who is permanently disabled due to a catastrophic illness in 2003. Until that time, he was making child support payments on arrears only. After his accident he was unable to return to work and was granted full disability. He was not able to make any payments at all. His SSDI is now being garnished at 65%. I had heard that there was a federal policy that restricts garnishments at 25% if they are only collecting on arrears and the child/children have aged out. I am looking for clarification of this, if it is true. If anyone has any information on this, I would really appreciate it.
