Hi,
My brother-in-law submitted what we believe to be fraudulent claims for expenses against my mother-in-law's estate. He mailed us receipts for work he did in 2007 for my mother-in-law, including carpet cleaning and carpentry.
My wife is executrix, and his family isnt satisfied with what they are receiving in the will. They seem to be doing this in hopes of dragging out the process.
How do you normally handle claims that you believe to be false? I can probably get cancelled checks from my mother-in-law's bank account (my wife was joint) if need be.
I told my wife for now to just ignore it, we'll show the claim to the attorney on our next visit.
