I have a 2 year old daughter who lives with me. Her father and I have never been married. He wants to return to his home country of France and take our daughter with him. What is the best, least expensive way to obtain full child custody?

WHAT STATE ARE YOU IN?

Has Dad been legally adjudicated as the father in court?
Are there ANY court orders in place? If so, what are they?
Are you in agreement with your child moving to France?
Who do you want to have FULL custody and why?

Was paternity ever established and does the child have a passport? You should file for full custody through the family court. Go down there and see if they have a family court fascilitator or call an attorney to see if they can help you.
