my ex-girl friend will not leave my home, no lease agreement was filled out.
must i serve her with a notice to quit, termination of tenancy, or can i just
put her out.

Assuming she's been there more than a few weeks, you'll have to evict her legally per your state's requirements.

You can also just boot her out... however you could be held liable for civil damages if she should opt to sue you over it.

OP, self help remedies often end poorly for those initiating self help actions.

The best advise is to use the court system.

If you try to evict her yourself, you could end up in a fight.

But, it won't be treated like a common bar room brawl, it will be charged as DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

The best course of action is to take her to court, if she won't leave.

In fact, some people choose to leave the home until the matter has been litigated.

People get angry, words get said, names are used, pushing could erupt, and violence could be shown.

Be very, very careful; people know how to push other people's buttons!!!!

The court is slow, it costs a little money, but doing the right thing is never easy!!!!

Please, be careful, and don't become impatient.

Have you tried offering her money to leave now?

Try to negotiate a settlement, because an eviction will take time (6 to 8 weeks, maybe more).

Ask her what it would take to get her to leave within the next 60 minutes.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

She said she's leaving, but i heard that before. She's been here over four years,
and have not help pay one bill. Im going
to fill out the paper work.
